The "12 Days of Christmas" Service Project

Tis the Season to spread some Christmas cheer...through service & love!

I participate in a local Non Profit called The GIGG. They organized the "12 Days of Christmas" Service Project which offers an opportunity for all of us to reflect on what the true meaning of Christmas is. My family is participating in these upcoming events and we’d love to have you join us!

Here are ways that you can volunteer over the next month!

1.) Holiday Party at Rainbow House (12/23)

We are hosting a Holiday Party at the Rainbow House, a home for families experiencing homelessness. The party will take place on December 23rd at 3pm!

We will be providing gifts, a meal, decorations, and a Christmas Tree!! There are 4 families that will be part of the party!!

2.) Salvation Army Bell Ringing

We will be doing a little bell ringing this year for the Salvation Army

3.) Operation: With Love From Home (12/8)

Here's what is needed the most right now:

1. Beef jerky

2. Coffee/tea singles

3. AA and AAA batteries

4. Drink mix singles

5. Hand warmers

6. Handiwipe travel packs

7. Hand sanitizer

8. Ramen

9. 6 inch candy canes

10.Monetary donations for shipping costs

To Assemble Care Packages, please join us on December 8th from 10am-2pm at the Napa College Gymnasium.

4.) Holiday Assistance Program (12/7-12/21)

The Napa County Holiday Assistance Program has been in existence for over twenty years providing needy families with food and toys for Christmas. The program is operated by a coalition consisting of Catholic Charities, Salvation Army, Queen of the Valley, Toys for Tots, Napa Food Bank, Volunteer Napa and County Family Service organizations.

1300 families with approximately 3000 children have been registered.

This year operations will be conducted at the Airport Toy Distribution Warehouse at 2000 Airport Rd, Napa, CA 94558

12/7...anytime between 9:30am-3pm: Tape & Pack Food Boxes

We will not organize a time to do this together, but I encourage any of you who can to consider volunteering!

12/21...this is my favorite day and where they need LOTS of HELP!! I plan to be there most of that day. Come out and help distribute the toys and food to the families picking up!! Great day for lots of help!!
