Central Coast Getaway Recommendations

My family and I escaped midweek so I could celebrate my birthday! We headed down to our family house in Los Osos, next to San Luis Obispo and Morro Bay. Although this was our destination, my family also uses it as a resting point when travelling to Los Angeles or San Diego. Now, with some of our family living in Southern California the central coast is a great meeting spot. Avila Beach http://www.visitavilabeach.com/ You need a day here. Kids love the tide pools and small waves. They have their own farmer’s market Friday evening. My dad’s favorite place to grab a drink is Rick’s.
