The weather is exactly perfect for a day in San Francisco. Yesterday, my family and I headed in to spend time with my brother and to watch the Giants beat the Phillies. Since it was a night game we wanted to drive to San Francisco. Whenever we head to a part of the City where I am not certain of parking, I use Parking Panda to find, reserve and pay for an ideal parking spot before we even leave home. https://www.parkingpanda.com/ We parked easily once arriving to San Francisco just blocks from AT&T Park and attempted to spend some time at the Coin-Op, a pub and game room, however this establishment is closed to those under 21 years old all day. http://coinopsf.com/ So, we grabbed an Uber and headed to Union Square to Golden Gate Tap Room http://www.ggtaproom.com/ where we found many large screen TV’s to watch the Warriors most recent overtime repeating constantly while we played shuffleboard and other arcade games. Drinks and food were a nice start to our day but we had bigger plans. We walked 3 blocks to the Fairmont , arrived 5 minutes to 5:00PM and were the third group in line to be seated in the bar at the Tonga Room http://www.tongaroom.com/ when it opened right at 5:00PM. The atmosphere reminded the kids of Pirates of the Caribbean and they thought it was hilarious when we ordered a Pupu platter. The drinks were legitimate tiki drinks, not oversweet but so strong and tasty. An Uber returned us safely to our car so we could change into pants and grab sweatshirts for later before we talked the couple blocks to the Giants game. It was a 7:05PM game and we didn’t need our sweatshirts until the 6th inning. What a rare treat! Our other favorite trips to San Francisco include:
Our next trip to plan: Angel Island and Alcatraz.
