Christmas was an amazing time spent being present for those we love. Now, we are ready to bring in 2019 with excitement over what the next year may bring. Pantone’s Color of the Year brings a pop of color into our winter as we kick off the new year.
The orangey 'Living Coral' is said to be 'life-affirming' and a reaction to the onslaught of technology and social media in daily life
For the 20th anniversary of its annual Color of the Year announcement, Pantone went with a bold choice.
The color authority chose 16-1546 Living Coral, a bright orange-y shade that mimics nautical coral itself, as its Color of The Year 2019.
Pantone, which describes the hue as “sociable” in the announcement, says Living Coral is a “reaction to the onslaught of digital technology and social media increasingly embedding into daily life, we are seeking authentic and immersive experiences that enable connection and intimacy.”
For interior design, Pantone says that “When used as a bold statement in settings and décor, Living Coral fosters immersive experiences such as pop-up installations and interactive spaces, tied to a playful spirit.”
Last year, the company went with Ultra Violet for its Color of the Year choice, an arguably safer choice for interior design and homeware it was meant to inspire.
This time around, decorators should have fun incorporating this “animating and life-affirming coral hue with a golden undertone that energizes and enlivens with a softer edge” into their work.

Looking for some inspiration? Check out today’s open houses which are below.
My brother, Michael, and sister, Becky with her boyfriend (the llama), Ibs. Cookie decorating 2017.
While staying on top of the market and serving my clients’ needs, I will take some time to host our annual family cookie decorating tonight and direct the children’s reenactment of the nativity scene at St. A’s Catholic Church. I take some time to remember that I chose this career to help and protect people in the real estate market with unwavering values and hard work. I remember that Christmas is a time to reflect on blessings and make sure we are living our best lives.
I hope you have a peaceful and very Merry Christmas!

There are still ways for you to get involved!
Napa County Holiday Assistance Program has been in existence for over twenty years providing needy families with toys for the children and food for the families at Christmas. The program is run by a coalition of Catholic Charities, Salvation Army, Queen of the Valley, Toys for Tots, Napa Food Bank, and County Family Service organizations.
1200 families with approximately 3000 children have been registered this year!
