It is Harvest time in the Napa Valley. Whether you live in Napa or are looking for a day trip, it is time to take advantage of all Napa has to offer! There are still safe ways to enjoy a day in the Napa Valley. Start by hiring a driver committed to clean and safe transportation. Napa Company: Beyond the Bay Wine Tours https://beyondthebaywinetours.com/# (310) 850-7593 Be sure to have reservations ahead of time (which your driver can make for you). I recommend a day that begins with Fontanella Family Winery, https://www.fontanellawinery.com/# Then spend some time at Del Dotto, https://www.deldottovineyards.com/visit/piazza I highly recommend the barrel tasting. They accompany the tasting with some delicious bites. Finish on the stunning deck at Round Pond. I recommend the Portfolio or Artisan tasting. https://www.roundpond.com/visit/winery-experiences/ The day is not complete without a Napa Valley dining experience. Dinner recommendations can range from casual Mexican, Italian, Mediterranean, classic Napa cuisine or fabulous pub food. Bringing visitors who would like to make the move to Napa? I would love to help them find their place in my hometown! It was my pleasure to sell this 1886 vintage home that has been extensively remodeled and offers a flexible floorplan. The quality and style of this home which has an upstairs with 2 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, living/dining room with fireplace and large eat-in kitchen brought multiple offers immediately. Only the downstairs could be shown until an offer was written and that 1 bedroom, 1 bath plus additional office/bedroom option, living/dining area and full kitchen showed beautifully. The conscientious seller and I worked together to protect the tenants and were able to accept the offer of another investor so the tenants could stay in place during the current global pandemic. Escrows during this time can be tricky for many reasons that are out of our control but I worked closely with the buyer’s Realtor to make sure everyone came out of this transaction a winner! This property sold for over asking price at $936,000. Without open houses every weekend, I am more reliant on your referrals than ever. If you know someone who is thinking of selling, please connect us! Thank you and stay well! I hope everyone is staying cool, entertained and enjoyed last night’s dramatic change in weather. This summer, my family has been enjoying Kubb, pronounced “KOOB”. Kubb is a Swedish lawn game that can be played by people of all ages, learned quickly and plays at a perfect pace for relaxing and socializing. Easy to carry and set up, we’ve played it everywhere from our front lawn, Balboa Park in San Diego, the beach and Napa Valley Country Club. How to Play: Knock over wooden blocks by throwing wooden batons at them. "Kubbs" are placed at both ends of the pitch, and the "king", a larger wooden block, is placed in the middle of the pitch. The ultimate objective of the game is to knock over the "kubbs" on the opposing side of the pitch, and then to knock over the "king", before the opponent does. Once the opposing team knocks down a kubb, you must toss it to the other side and knock those down before you can knock down your own kubbs. Games can last from five minutes to well over an hour. https://www.amazon.com/Yard-Games-Kubb-Game-Premium/dp/B0089E5Z7C I hope you enjoy this game recommendation. I’d love to hear about your favorite game this summer!
This week I received two wonderful recommendations. One from a past client and the other from someone who attended one of my open houses. Both knew people who needed help buying a house in Napa. The highest compliment I can receive are your referrals. If you know anyone who is thinking about buying or selling please connect us so I can guide them even through the earliest part of the process. Thank you! |
